Music brings hope . . . Peggy James new tune

Been getting some awesome music in the past weeks – the video (below) featuring Sammy Hagar and a host of others makes me feel like conflicts aside, music can and does help heal wounds and unit people.  The girl’s smiles are a universal statement of hope for the future.  Check out The Miraculous Love Kids:

I also want to mention that Peggy James from Milwaukee is still keeping up with her release a month schedule heading toward a new CD release in the fall.  Here latest gem is JOAN OF ARC and we thank Gary Tanin at Daystorm Records for giving us an advanced peek.  The top piece video features JOAN OF ARC and we will keep you posted on her future releases.

From Peggy’s EPK:

“Peggy James announces her second new single release for 2021,Joan of Arc – 2021. Based on the symbolic French martyr, the song begs the question: Where are you now?  Elements of country are found in James’ songwriting and her voice—but a lot of other influences as well. Peggy is eclectic in her sources and strong in her conviction.  Singing in a soft, emotionally resonant voice, the Wisconsin singer-songwriter gives performances that echo with the confident humanity of the Midwest.

“…ingenuous, from the heart vocal style and sincere lyrics make her a twangy hometown heroine to admire. ”Bobby Tanzillo

On MKE.com James plans to release a string of singles in 2021, culminating with the release of a full length LP in Q3 of 2021. The single Joan of Arc, released May 28th via all digital formats on Happy Growl Records”

This is a vintage Peggy James track and the ‘early Byrds jangle meets the Sweetheart of the Rodeo Byrds sound’ sets the tone very nicely.  Peggy’s insightful lyrics offer us balm for the soul in these troubled times.  I, for one, would have had a much tougher time the last 14 months without Dr. Peggy’s Rx of new music to help me cope.

Vax up, stay well, take care of each other, and let us move the needle farther toward ‘normal’ – KR
