Welcome to YOUR SOUND CHOICE!  Here is our ‘it is summer and we will be on hiatius’ update:

A) YES – still working on fixing our website audio problem!  Grrrr

 B) The web cam project will be completed in the summer – with less bodies doing more work everywhere, we are low on the techie fix-it list.  They do a good job for us, but there are bigger fish to fry at the end of a school year .

C) We don’t normally advertise anything, but I will mention that the Thursday Open Mic nights at the Ontonagon Eagles Club have been a blast.  I have only managed to play a little music at two of them, but if you like to sit in and play a few tunes or just sit and listen, it is well worth your while to drop by on Thursday evenings.  Help promote LIVE music.

D) The West Coast Bureau inspection tour will take place in mid-July – not sure if there will be any musical events to attend, but Eugen, OR will find something interesting for us to do while there.  The WCB will be filing a report of the Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker’s tour stop in Seattle later in August.

E) I am planning to be at my usual post at the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival in August – check out the schedule ( and stop by the Singing Hills Stage to say hey.

If you are a regular listener, it would be great to hear from you – drop me an e-mail with the particulars (who are you, where do you live, and when you listen to WOAS-FM) at the address above.  We like to hear from our listeners and viewers.  The radio station will soon (and finally) have its’ own e-mail address.

Our Friends at the HomeGrownMusicNet (HGMN) gave us permission to share links to their streaming tunes.  Thanks Lee – also check out their website for great artist news and purchase opportunities:
